This barrette was handcrafted from Snakewood and is a size small. You can see a sample picture of this wood above . Please note that your barrette may vary slightly from the picture as each piece of wood is unique and all of our barrettes are individually handcrafted. Our small barrettes are Good barrettes for use in fine hair, children's hair, or to pull back a section of fine hair. It measures approximately 2 1/2" long.
Also called Letterwood and Nakedwood, The appearance of snakewood is similar to that of snakeskin, red-brown with black speckles and stripes. It's sometimes also spotty like leopard spots, or speckled with interesting peculiar markings. It's one of the rarest and most expensive woods in the world! |
