| I hand sculpt this stunning barrette out of Satinwood (Chloroxylon swietenia), also known as Yellowheart from Sri-Lanka, a strong and durable wood known for its brilliant yellow color and lovely figure that shimmers and shines beautifully in the light. I then add a bright and cheery honey colored amber round in a darling and wonderfully detailed sterling silver daisy setting with darling hand applied petals. The amber stands about 3/8 inch proud of the surface and the many inclusions within really sparkle as the light plays across it. A wonderful piece for spring and summer!
This barrette is 3" long on a 2 3/4" inch long clip (a size medium-small) and would be great for pulling back part for your hair or all of your hair if you have finer hair. |
