This elegant hairpin is hand sculpted in finest quality, musical instrument grade, jet-black Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) from Africa. The centerpiece of the hair pin is the lovely hand-crafted sterling silver opal and Turquoise setting. It was completely hand crafted by Navaho silversmiths in the USA with no less than 6 pieces of individually hand cut and inlaid turquoise, opal and sterling silver lines creating a striking geometric design in the center of the piece.
Ebony, famous for its rich jet-black color, has been used in the finest furniture and musical instrument making for centuries. It's one of the world's most prized and expensive hardwoods! At 4 3/4" inches in length, this hairpin is a good size for most hair types, but would be especially suited for those with finer hair or to pull back a portion of the hair.
