Payments / Ordering

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, online via secure server. Paypal and Money Orders are also accepted. If you prefer not to order online, you my place your order by phone at 231-347-2827 weekdays between the hours of 10am and 6pm EST.

Checks and Money Orders: If you are not comfortable paying for your order online or by phone, you may send us a check or money order. Please place your order online prior to sending a money order so that we may reserve your items for you. If you do not do this, the items you would like to order may be sold before you order request arrives. Items will be held in reserve for 7 days with no exceptions. After 7 days they will be returned to our online store for purchase. Sorry, but we cannot accept international money orders or non US checks. Check payments will be held for 10-12 days and items will not be mailed until payments have cleared.

Paypal: Paypal payments are due upon order placement or receipt of invoice. Please note that orders paid by eCheck or bank transfer will not be shipped until after the payment has cleared.

Sales Tax: A sales tax of 6% is added on all orders shipped to Michigan addresses.

Shipping delivery time

Nearly all of our jewelry and hair accessories are handmade from raw materials here in our studio. Our pieces are quite popular and typically sell out very quickly; because of this our in stock inventory can be very limited and change quickly. Items that are available from our In Stock inventory will typically be delivered within 7-10 business days.

Preorders and Backorders

Preorder and backorders are available for some our designs. As these items are crafted by hand to order, and our work schedule is usually booked weeks to months in advance, please allow 3-6 weeks for completion of these designs. This is estimation only and may vary based on our current workload and the number of designs requested. If some items in your order are in stock and some are preordered or backordered, you may elect to pay additional shipping charges and have pieces shipped separately as they become available. You will not be charged for backordered and preordered pieces until they are ready to ship.

Shipments are typically made at least twice a week. All domestic shipments are insured to the full value of their contents. Unfortunately, insurance is not available to all international locations.

We are pleased to provide a wish list for your convenience. Please note that our products typically sell very quickly and adding an item to your wish list does not guarantee that it will be available for purchase at a later date.

A note about our handmade items

Each of the items shown on this site is individually handcrafted with care. Please understand that every creation is unique, so there can and will be subtle variations from piece to piece. Even when the same materials are used to reproduce a design, some creations cannot be duplicated exactly, so please allow for this. You will soon appreciate these subtle differences as something that makes your jewelry selection uniquely special.

Gift certificates

Looking for a gift but can't decide? Purchase a gift certificate for your family and friends so they can select exactly what they want from our online boutique.

Gift certificates may be purchased in amounts from $25 to $500. They will be delivered by email 1-3 business days from date of purchase. Gift certificates are valid for one full year from date of issue.

Gift certificates have no cash value and my not be exchanged or refunded. Gift certificates may not be applied toward past purchases. Any unused balance remaining on a gift certificate after a purchase may be redeemed on a future purchase. Tax, shipping and handling will apply when redeemed.

International

We welcome international orders, but please note that the buyer is solely responsible for any import duty, taxes or other charges that may apply to their location. Any custom duties or charges for return parcels are also the responsibility of the purchaser. We make only factual declarations on all customs and dispatch forms.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Unworn hair accessories and jewelry may be returned for exchange, credit or a full refund less any shipping or associated charges.

Please notify us before sending back an item. Returned or exchanged merchandise must be carefully packed in a sturdy box and must arrive insured in its original packaging and condition within 7 days of confirmed date received. Returned items must be in new condition (no scratches or blemishes and no broken, missing or exchanged stones). We are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit and will not process any returned items sent in envelopes. After 7 days from receipt of purchase, no refunds or exchanges will be issued.

Orders that originally qualified for free shipping are subject to application of standard shipping fees upon full or partial returns. Worn hair accessories, jewelry, sale items, special orders, and custom made designs may not be returned.

Each hair accessory and piece of jewelry is skillfully crafted and carefully inspected before shipment. Please contact us within 2 days of receipt if any items in your order are received otherwise. If damage occurs to a piece as a result of our own manufacturing error, we will be happy to replace, repair or exchange it free of charge. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for damage incurred do to normal wear and tear or product abuse.

We make every effort to describe and accurately photograph all items. However, due to variations in computers, monitors and settings, we cannot guarantee that the colors viewed on screen will be the exact colors of the items you will receive.

Due to strong fluctuations in the gold and silver and rare wood markets, prices are subject to change without notice.

Persons who buy or use products from Blue Heron Jewelry agree to indemnify (not hold responsible) Blue Heron Jewelry of any responsibility for damages or injuries which may occur from the use of those products.
