| I hand carved this wooden barrette from beautiful Cocobolo Rosewood, known for its striking grain patterns and rich colors. Cocobolo is considered by some to be the most attractive of all the exotic woods and its one of my personal favorites. I then add a gorgeous deep cognac colored genuine amber cabochon. The amber is showcased in a wonderful hand-crafted sterling silver setting with a hand shaped and tooled sterling silver vine setting. The workmanship on this setting is exquisite! The amber stands a full 3/8" above the surface of the pin and the inclusions in the amber really sparkle when the light passes through them - Gorgeous!
This barrette is 3" long on a 2 3/4" inch long clip (a size medium-small) and would be great for pulling back part for your hair or all of your hair if you have finer hair. |
