Custom Bloodwood Celtic Knot HairStick Set

I very much enjoy looking at your creations, and have very much enjoyed the new hairpin and set of hairsticks I ordered this summer. (Bocote Hair pin, and East Indian redwood ketylo hair sticks -- okay, my spelling likely off, but they are both functional and both beautiful!) My hair is layered, but growing out to one length and varies from ear lobe to a couple of inches past my shoulders -- still that tricky can I pin it up? stage. But both of these have worked amazingly well, and held my hair up all day, and caused my co-workers to ask what I had done. (Are those sticks all that's holding your hair? I really like it!) Cherry Swarovski Hairsticks
Hi Emily, Just wanted to let you know that I really LOVED the hairsticks and earrings that Eleanor bought from you for me for Christmas (does that sentence make sense?).
Just to refresh your memory, she got the tulipwood curly hairsticks and some lampwork earrings that are called Amber Lentils. (And I noticed that they're sold out on your site -- so Eleanor must have very good taste!) :) When I first got the earrings, I wasn't quite sure how much I would wear them, because I didn't know if I had many clothing pieces that would match. Boy was I wrong! I wear these earrings at least once a week. I can wear them with coral, yellow, brown, orange, just about any color or occasion. They're dressy enough to wear somewhere fancy, but understated enough to wear to work. And I always get compliments on them from people at work. So, bravo Emily!
And although I have such fine hair that I really only need about one hairstick, putting two in makes it look that much cooler. :) I love that Tulipwood -- it really has such a great color and reflects light in such a way -- I don't know how to describe it, I just think it's warm and wonderful and makes me happy. :)
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for making things that bring happiness, are unique and reasonably priced. I've actually found a couple of things I'm going to order for friends of mine.Take care and keep up the great work!

Ebony Silver Turquoise Bear Paw Hair Pin
I have to tell you that I wear my comb, pin, and sticks, that I ordered months ago, everyday! Love them. Even more of my hair fell out at one point due to the autoimmune disease and when I put up my hair, it doesn't really show. When it is pulled back, you don't notice that the front is short in different lengths. And they hold even though my hair is fine and thin! They are lifesavers for me.

Hi Emily! Thank you very much for your promptness in sending me my order of the Birdseye Maple / Green Amber Hairpin and the Mahogany Hair Stick so soon after our conversation last Tuesday. I received it today, Saturday, and the hairpin and hairstick were every bit as beautiful and exciting as I had expected! At first, the green of the amber wasn't obvious, but under a more direct and intense light, I saw the green color in the depths of the seemingly yellow-like amber. (I had never heard of green amber before and didn't know exactly what to expect of it.) I immediately tried the hairpin on the half bun that I always do, and then challenged myself to a full bun that I could never hold into place with any other hair accessory until now. ...I was thrilled!
The quest for a new hair stick/pin came about when I recently lost my beloved hair stick that I had purchased at J.Crew, a clothing store, a few years ago. (It was rather peculiar that I found a nice wooden hair stick at such a place.) Saddened by the loss, I searched many local hair accessories stores, but of course, they sold nothing but junk. Luckily though, your Web site was one of the first that popped up when I searched on Yahoo. Your personal commentary and descriptions were so influential in helping me understanding these stunning pieces through your eyes, not to mention that it allowed me to really feel at ease in ordering over the internet. In my humble opinion, as great of an artist that you are, it is so nice and refreshing to know that you are a real and reachable source and so personable at that.
In addition to the medium Barrette order we discussed, I couldn't help but hop back onto your Web site tonight, no longer than a few hours after I received my first order, to order yet another hairpin for myself! This time, I ordered the Quilted Maple / Cognac Amber Hairpin . I simply can't wait until you will have more pieces available in the future. I really can't believe how much I wear them (Hair Pins). I pull my bangs (if you can call hair almost a foot long bangs) and sides back for the daytime job, and then in the evening to work around the house it takes about a minute to take the stick out, grab the rest of the hair and get it out of my way in a cross between a bun and a French twist - yet if I have to run an errand or something it still looks good enough to go out of the house!! Fine job!! :o) I had tried hairsticks years ago and could not get the hang of it. I even tried a different kind recently - while it is quite attractive (maple with lapis), it doesn't stay put like yours do. I am really glad to see you setting stones in the prong type sticks. Last Friday I purchase two barrettes from your website: one large plain-wood birdseye maple barrette and the Birdseye - Padauk / Sterling Silver, Cognac Amber ponytail barrette. The box arrived this past Friday and I was very impressed with what arrived. I was blessed/cursed with lots of extra thick hair. I've NEVER been able to find a barrette that could hold all of it. I must admit that I was skeptical when I read that your large barrettes were good for lots of thick hair, but I decided to give it a try. It worked!!! I twisted all of my hair into a pseudo-French roll and clipped it up. I didn't have to strain the clip just to shut it, and I wore it all day with no threat of it popping open at any moment. The ponytail barrette is even prettier than the picture. It is so smooth with not rough edges at all. The two pieces of wood almost seem to have been carved from the same tree.
