| I hand carve this 4 prong hair comb out of Bloodwood (Brosimum Rubescens). Bloodwood, also known also as Satine and Cardinal Wood, is from Central America. I then inlay two hand made discs - one of Satinwood and the other in Ebony which serve to highlight the sterling silver Celtic knot that is the centerpiece for this hair comb.
At 4 1/2" inches in length, this hairpin would fit most hair types nicely, but will work especially well for fine hair or to pull part of the hair back. |
